I assume you have at least witnessed this pretty cafe once in your Instagram feed or blog, or whatsoever, since this is one of the popular cafe in Bandung these days. I visited Orofi Cafe quite a long time ago, it was in December 2016 (hence the photo without guests. That time, not many people knew about the place. I was the only guest that day). But since people are still putting so much interest in this place (few people sent me DM asking about me about this too) so I decided to write about it.
Orofi Cafe is a cafe (restaurant) located in Dago Atas, Bandung. If you have visited The Valley Bandung, then it is located right in front of it. Use the Google Map (just like I did), I reached the place easily without getting lost or anything but that maybe because I used to live in Dago, Bandung for 4 years, I don’t know… haha. I hope you guys from outside of Bandung can find this place easily!
What I find special about this place is undoubtedly the interior and decoration of itself. It is decorated majorly with white and blue hues, kind of reminds you of Santorini, Greece (one of my bucket list I haven’t checked yet!), isn’t it?
The place is divided to two areas, outdoor and indoor, so no need to worry if suddenly the rain comes down. I love that this place doesn’t go tacky with the interior and the decor, they make it very simple but sophisticated. They do the Santorini vibe through the built in furniture they have, like the island bar or the little white pots they put on the floor.
Well, last but not least, one thing I love the most about Orofi Cafe is the VIEW!
I think it is a waste to go to Bandung without witnessing the city from up above. Though I know it is quite hard to get a view of Bandung city without driving away too far. My personal favorite place to unwind and to get the view is actually in Lembang (Sersan Bajuri street, to be precise), but you gotta have personal vehicle to go there (I know there is an angkot route going that way, but very rarely. I tried it once and personally won’t try it again).
Orofi Cafe is located just in Dago Atas area, very easy to reach especially if you live or stay in Bandung Utara area. If you go from Institut Teknologi Bandung, it probably just take 30 minutes to get here (if there’s no traffic jam).
So, will you put Orofi Cafe on your list of your next Bandung trip? 🙂
